The Assembly Label concept store

WHAT: New retail store for The Assembly Label

WHERE: 221 Bondi Road, Bondi

Open 10am-5pm Mon-Fri; 9am-6pm Sat-Sun

The lovely corner shop on Bondi Road that formerly housed Yellow Bungalow is now home to local fashion and lifestyle brand The Assembly Label. A mixture of minimalist aesthetics and refined coastal design, the space offers the perfect frame through which to view their refined selection of clothing and home-wares.

According to the team behind The Assembly Label (Daniel Oliver, Damien Horan and Lee Thompson), the new store will offer a hand-picked range, tailored to the local consumer.

“The store gives us avenues to try and test new fabrics and silhouettes. We’ll also be buying into a cross section of home-wares and will highlight other brands that you’ll have to check out once you’re in the space. It will have exclusive styles that you won’t see in our other retailers – right now we’re working on a cashmere range that you’ll only see in our retail store and online.”

Having started out as a men’s label in 2011, The Assembly Label now also caters for women, describing their offering perfectly as “The home of seaside inspired stripes and easy wearing basics”. The label’s design inspiration comes from the team’s love of coastal living and travel, offering timeless pieces that fit so well with our Bondi lifestyle.

For those who spend their weekends draped across the front of Porch and Parlour or lounging on the grassy knoll, The Assembly Label’s new store will no doubt become the place to fill wardrobes with easy wearing staples. I hope that they will soon be joined by other fashion brands to revitalise the Bondi Road strip.
