David Owen, Icebergs Dining Room restaurant manager, is reportedly about to open a new restaurant in North Bondi.
According to online foodie bible Good Food, Owen will be opening the doors of a new venture named Paradise Road Diner in around five weeks. Set to occupy a space within the North Bondi bus terminal surrounds, it will add to the wonderful offerings already served up by The Hill and Bondi’s Best.
The Good Food article reveals that Owen’s new venture will be a modern American diner, in collaboration with Gaudi Diaz, owner of Byron Bay restaurant Italian at the Pacific.
As always, we are spoilt for choice in Bondi! I’m also looking forward to seeing what pops up in the old Macelleria corner shop on Gould Street, where a new bistro led by former Grand National chef Ian Oakes is rumoured to be in progress.
